To my readers:
First and foremost, thank you for taking time out of your busy schedules to read my devotionals!
Several years ago when I first started blogging, my initial plan was to simply keep a basic journal of my recovery journey. That was over 7 years ago. Then, a few years later, I began reading my Bible on a daily basis.
Nothing has changed my life more than reading God’s Word! If you’re going to be addicted to something, be addicted to reading Scripture! It will change everything about your life!
As a result, my writing began to expand. I found myself writing less and less about recovery and more and more about what I was reading in my Bible. And as God started revealing more of Himself to me through His Word, the more I wanted to express what I was learning and experiencing through my writing.
Writing has always been something I’ve enjoyed doing. And it will continue being something I enjoy doing. But not for the next few months. The Lord has been putting it on my heart to take a break.
So that’s what I’m going to do. I’m going to listen to Him and I will resume writing when He says it’s time to log back in and write.
In the meantime…
I pray that you continue to read God’s Word, that you grow in your knowledge of Him, and that He fills you with joy, peace, and good health!
Sincerely,
Scott
