Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.” – Proverbs 31:28-29
She doesn’t ask for much. She just keeps showing up. Day after day. She holds her family together with a strength that comes from time spent on her knees in prayer.
There have been more nights than we could count when she stayed up praying – praying over her children when they were little, when they were sick, when they were scared… praying for them as they grew older and wandered, made mistakes, or faced difficult trials.
She’s prayed for neighbors she barely knows and family who may never know how deeply she intercedes on their behalf.
She may not think she’s done anything remarkable. In fact she probably doesn’t. But we know better.
We see. God sees.
And one day, her children will rise up and call her blessed – not just because she packed lunches, went to school plays and soccer games, or folded laundry, but because she modeled consistent faith. Because she loved without limits. Because she taught them how to trust God in every season.
Her devotion to her family is fierce, but her devotion to God is even stronger – and that’s what makes her truly beautiful!
So today, we honor that kind of woman…that kind of mom. The kind who gives and gives, and then gives some more. The kind who holds her Bible in one hand and wipes away tears with the other. The kind who never seeks the spotlight but is always the heart of the home.
To all the moms out there, especially my wife who surpasses them all….
Happy Mother’s Day!!!!!
