“Keep me as the apple of Your eye; hide me in the shadow of Your wings.” — Psalm 17:8 (NIV)
You are the apple of God’s eye—cherished, protected, and seen. When David wrote this verse, he was asking God to keep him close and safe, like something precious. And God promises the same for you.
Think of God like a mother bird who shelters her chicks under her wings. When you feel afraid or overwhelmed, God invites you to come to Him, to find comfort and security in His presence. He is your refuge, always near and ready to protect you.
Today, remember that you are deeply loved and guarded by God. Whatever you face, you are not alone—He is with you, watching over you with great care.
Reflection:
Where do you need God’s protection today? Take a moment to bring it to Him and rest in His care.
Prayer:
“God, thank You for keeping me close. Remind me that I am precious to You. Help me trust in Your protection and find peace under Your wings. Amen.”
