A Promise that Only God Can Keep

“Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not whither – whatever they do prospers.” ~ Psalm 1: 1-3

Once we have a personal encounter with God, everything about our lives begins to change. One of the greatest changes we experience is the transitional growth that starts taking place in our hearts.

Prior to my own life-changing encounter with God, I sided with the worldly perspective that His Way and His Laws were both restrictive and inconvenient. But the day that I gave my life over to Christ, I began seeing things far differently. In short order, my unwillingness transformed into a joyful desire to be obedient to Him.

Friend, when we enter into a loving relationship with God, we become restored in the fullness of His image, His grace and His mercy. We stop walking in the ways of the world and allow God’s will to guide us in all aspects of our daily living. Not only does He promise that we will not fail, but that whatever we do in His authority will prosper!

The world cannot keep that promise. Only God can.
